Meet Our Founder

Reverend Dr. Temaki Carr

Faith Builder, Strategist, Humanitarian, Philanthropist, Community Organizer, Chief Executive, Veteran, Leader and Servant, these are only a few of the attributes that describe Reverend Dr. Temaki Carr. Her life journey has carried her from poverty- stricken wooden shacks in rural Mississippi to palatial halls of influence in war-torn nations abroad.

From the battlefield to the mission field, Dr. Carr has traversed remote villages and crowded city centers across West Africa, served among isolated communities in the Himalayan mountains of Nepal, and walked the narrow streets of historic Europe. She is a trailblazer with a rare capacity to cross cultural divides, uplift communities, and inspire transformation rooted in faith.

Early Life & Faith

Born the eldest of four children to widower Doris Funchess of Prentiss, Mississippi, Dr. Carr became the first in her maternal family to accept Christ, remarkably at the age of twelve. She continued this legacy of “firsts” by becoming the first in her family to attend and graduate college, earning her degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1992.

Military Service

Upon graduation, she was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, beginning a distinguished military career. Over a 20-year active-duty tenure, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Temaki Carr served in leadership positions throughout the Continental United States and overseas, leading soldiers in both peace and war. She served alongside her husband of more than three decades, Colonel (Retired) Robert Carr, navigating the unique demands of a dual-military family with resilience and faith. Throughout her military service, Dr. Carr remained steadfast in her commitment to excellence in service to God, family, and country.
